X-51 Nether-Rocket & X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME
The X-51 Nether-Rocket loot card was originally release in the Servants of the Betrayer Expansion Set. It was later re-issued with the WoW TCG Archives, and then again in the Reign of Fire expansion.
When the X-51 Nether-Rocket loot code is redeemed, two versions of this mount are given — a rare X-51 Nether-Rocket and an epic X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME. Both versions count towards the Mountain o' Mounts achievement, and both mounts require level 20 & Apprentice Riding.
The rare and epic mount duo is similar to how the WoW TCG did it up with the Spectral Tiger loot card. Both mounts are bind on equip, so you can sell or trade them in-game.
What's the difference between the rare and epic versions?
The X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME is red and the X-51 Nether-Rocket is blue. That's pretty much it. Other than that they're identical, so depending upon your color preference or transmog situation, you could do well by keeping the one color that's your favorite and selling the other on the auction house.
The X-51 Nether-Rocket & X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME are a couple of the coolest flying mounts available in the game, and are two of only four rockets currently available. The other two being the Big Love Rocket and the x-53 Touring Rocket.
As I'd mentioned, both mounts are BoE, so they can be sold or traded in-game. Current going rate for these rocket mounts…
- X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME: 185,000 Gold
- X-51 Nether-Rocket: 175,000 Gold
These buyout prices are averages and are current as of Patch 5.4.2.

The X-51 Nether-Rocket Loot Card is found in packs from the Servants of the Betrayer expansion, as well as the WoW TCG Archives and the Reign of Fire expansion.
Landro's Gift
Landro's Gift Box has a very small chance to contain either version of the X-51, offering a relatively inexpensive way to gamble for this mount. The chances of getting one are very slim, but it is possible. Do note however, unlike the 2 versions you get with the loot card code, you only get 1 version of the mount if you bust it from a Landro's Gift Box. Check out the Landro's Gift page for more info.
In Servants of the Betrayer, the X-51 Nether-Rocket Loot Card is found in approximately 1 out of 242 packs, which makes it a very rare card. Booster packs of Archives have a 1 in 242 chance to contain a mount, and Reign of Fire packs have a 1 in 264 chance, which of course means any mount…not necessarily the X-51. In other words, it's even harder to try for it from either of those expansions.
Servants of the Betrayer booster boxes run about $80.00 each and contain 24 packs of cards. At that rate, the estimated cost to acquire the X-51 Nether-Rocket Loot Card if you were to try and pull it from a pack would be approximately $800.00. Trying for it in either WoW TCG Archives or Reign of Fire could get even more expensive, of course you might pull a Spectral Tiger in the process, so maybe that's not such a bad deal…
Average ebay price for this loot card is usually under $250.00. As you can see, this mount doesn't come cheap, but hell… it's a freakin' rocket!!! 😉
