WoW TCG Pet Loot

The following list includes all of the pet loot currently available through the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (listed in alphabetical order by their in-game item names).

Originally Released: April, 2007

Banana Charm is the loot reward obtained from the King Mukla loot card, which is part of the Through the Dark Portal expansion set. It teaches you how to summon a cute little monkey companion, called Bananas.

This item also has a small chance to be found within Landro's Pet Box.

Originally Released: December, 2007

Dragon Kite is the reward from the Kiting loot card, which is contained in the March of the Legion expansion set. This item teaches you how to summon a flying Dragon Kite.

This kite appears in one of four random colors when spawned – either red, green, blue or purple. It also has a nifty animation which shows it getting struck by lightning every so often.

This item also has a small chance to be found within Landro's Pet Box.

The Eye of the Legion pet loot is a reward from the loot card of the same name – found within the War of the Ancients expansion.

The Eye of the Legion pet looks identical to the Warlock's Eye of Kilrogg spell, albeit a scaled down version. This pet will lift off and fly with you if you're riding on a flying mount.

Originally Released: February, 2012

Grell Moss is the reward obtained via the Vicious Grell loot card, which is contained in the Crown of the Heavens expansion set. This item teaches you how to summon a Gregarious Grell.

The Gregarious Grell is the first Grell companion pet available in World of WarCraft. The Gregarious Grell makes the same sounds as the warlock's version of the pet – when summoned and clicked on.

Gusting Grimoire is the reward obtained via the Floating Spellbook loot card, which is contained in the Betrayal of the Guardian expansion set. This item teaches you how to summon a Gusting Grimoire pet.

The Gusting Grimoire is quite similar to the Lofty Libram, but has a nifty fireball emote when summoned. This pet also has its own unique pet battle ability called Fel Immolate.

Hippogryph Hatchling is the pet loot reward obtained from the Thunderhead Hippogryph loot card, which is part of the Heroes of Azeroth expansion set. This item taches you how to summon an adorable little Hippogryph Hatchling pet.

This pet is a cartoony version of a baby hippogryph, and is an epic quality pet.

This item teaches you how to summon Landro's Lichling – – a miniature version of Kel'Thuzad. The Landro's Lichling loot card is found in booster packs from the WoW TCG War of the Elements expansion set.

Occasionally Landro's Lichling will kill nearby critters with an ice block spell. He will also let out a laugh like Kel'Thuzad's after you kill another player, take damage, or after he kills a critter.

This item teaches you how to summon Landro's Lil' XT – – a near-exact goblin replica of the Wonderworks original. The Landro's Lil' XT loot card is found in booster packs from the WoW TCG Worldbreaker expansion set.

Landro's Lil' XT is basically identical to the Lil' XT, but with a slight color variation. Also of note… you can usually pickup a Landro's Lil' XT for roughly half the price of the Blizzard Pet Store version.

This item teaches you how to summon a Nightsaber Cub. It is a reward from the Nightsaber Cub loot card, which is part of the Twilight of the Dragons expansion set.

The Nightsaber Cub has some amusing animations, including a fierce little ‘kitteny growl', which I suppose is intended to be a mini-roar. The Nightsaber Cub also has the usual kitten following animation, which has it scampering around – sometimes several steps behind its master.

Purple Puffer is the pet loot reward obtained from the Bloat the Bubble Fish loot card, which is part of the Throne of the Tides expansion set. The Purple Puffer is a super-common pet loot, found in about 1 out of every 11 packs.

The Purple Puffer is a puffer fish who follows you around while ‘floating' in his own little self-contained bubble of water.

Originally Released: December, 2007

This item teaches you how to summon a Rocket Chicken. It is a reward from the Robotic Homing Chicken loot card, which is part of the March of the Legion expansion set.

Rocket Chicken has some amusing animations and will even occasionally fly into the air and explode!

To get an in-game look at the Rocket Chicken, just head over to Booty Bay and look for him on the dock. He's right across from Landro and his cohorts, next the Auctioneer.

Originally Released: June, 2012

The Sand Scarab is a reward from the ultra common Sand Scarab loot card, found in booster packs from the Tomb of the Forgotten expansion set. This cool new beetle pet shares the same model as the scarab beetles found in Zul'Farrak.

This pet is soulbound, so it cannot be sold or traded. The Sand Scarab counts towards all companion pet achievements.

This item teaches you how to summon a Spectral Tiger Cub. It is a reward from the Spectral Kitten loot card, which is part of the Scourgewar expansion set.

This incredibly awesome-looking little feline is currently one of the most sought after pet loots in the game. The Spectral Tiger Cub is also the perfect companion when used along side the Spectral Tiger mount.

This item teaches you how to summon an Ethereal Soul-Trader. It is a reward from the Ethereal Plunderer loot card, which is part of the Hunt for Illidan expansion set.

The Soul-Trader Beacon also has a small chance to be found within Landro's Pet Box.

Originally Released: November, 2009

This item teaches you how to summon a Tuskarr Kite. It is a reward from the Tuskarr Kite loot card, which is part of the Scourgewar expansion set.

This item behaves similarly to the Dragon Kite, only it doesn't change color. It does occasionally get struck by lightning, though.
