The next WoW TCG expansion set – Betrayal of the Guardian – is slated for release on February 22, 2013. Betrayal of the Guardian is the second set in the Timewalkers block.
The loot cards contained in this upcoming expansion are…
- Ghostly Charger – The ultra-rare mount loot.
- Dark Portal Hearthstone – This sounds like a new Hearthstone replacement – similar to the Portal Stone loot from the Icecrown expansion.
- Floating Spellbook – The common pet loot included in Betrayal of the Guardian.
Update: The images below were purely based on early predictions, and were a bit off – especially where the Dark Portal Hearthstone was concerned. 😉 My initial hunch was the correct one. To see what the actual loot looks like, click on the links above.
There are no actual preview images yet of the loot, but here are my predictions on what we might expect… 😉
Ghostly Charger
I think the Ghostly Charger mount will be a phantom version of the Argent Charger. The Argent Charger is a very nice looking mount. Give it a spectre-like appearance and it'd be even sexier. Also worth noting is that the Argent Charger is Paladin-only – meaning a similar model that were available to all classes would be quite popular indeed.
Dark Portal Hearthstone
My initial thought was that this loot item might create a smaller version of the Dark Portal to Outland, but I'm thinking it's going to be something more like the portal used to summon Lord Jaraxxus in Trial of the Crusader.
Floating Spellbook
This is likely going to be similar to the floating tomes found near the inscription trainers.
These models may or may not prove to be accurate, but it's fun to guess what the new loot will look like, isn't it..? 🙂
