Once Upper Deck and Blizzard cut their ties, it was no surprise that the UDE Points WoW TCG Loot rewards were going to become hot items — namely the WoW TCG Tabards. The UDE Points WoW Tabards are among the best-looking, not to mention…rarest, tabards in all of WoW.
Last summer, the number of UDE Points WoW TCG Tabards that were available had been decreasingly rapidly. These tabards once were readily available for around $20 – $30. After the UDE Points program closed, with fewer and fewer unredeemed codes floating around, prices started soaring.
I posted back in August of 2011, saying that fans & collectors might want to look at buying up some of these tabards – especially the Tabard of Frost – as I knew the price was going to crack $100 in no time. That tabard now sells for $300 – $400.
In fact, here's one that had been purchased within the last week at a Buy it Now of $399.00…
The Tabard of Frost has always been the most popular of the WoW TCG UDE Points Tabards, with Tabard of the Void a close second. At the time of that post, Tabard of the Void was selling for around $50 — it now goes for around $150 – $200.
If Blizzard decides to make tabards account-wide – as they have done so far with mounts, pets & many achievements – expect these tabards to become red hot.
Tabard of the Arcane, I predict, will be the next UDE Points Tabard to see a huge price surge. It has one of the nicer color schemes, plus it's still relatively affordable.
Due to the rarity of these incredible looking tabards – combined with the popularity of gear Transmogrification – it's no surprise why these tabards are becoming so valuable. If you've been thinking about getting one – either for yourself or maybe to resell for a profit in future – I'd get on it!
