Sand Scarab Pet Preview

WoWHead has posted a model for the new pet loot that will be available through the upcoming WoW TCG expansion, entitled, “Tomb of the Forgotten”. The pet loot is called the Sand Scarab, and will be the common loot item contained in the set.

As far as I know, the Sand Scarab will be the first beetle pet loot available in World of Warcraft. In addition to that, the pet model is pretty nice, ensuring that this will no doubt be popular among WoW pet collectors.

Oh, and you WoW Hunters may be interested to know that this new pet will share a pint-sized model of the Temple Scarab found in Uldum.

First Look at the Purple Puffer

I'm not entirely sure how accurate this is, but I followed a Twitter link from WoWHead and discovered what could possibly be an image model of the new Purple Puffer pet.

No official pics have been posted online just yet, so this is pure speculation. It does look pretty legit though.

I'll post additional pics once more have been leaked or a formal announcement has been made, but here's an early glimpse of the possible model for the Purple Puffer pet…

Tomb of the Forgotten Loot Preview

The Patch 4.3 PTR is up, and included in it are the names of the loot items from the Tomb of the Forgotten WoW TCG expansion. I'm not sure when these loots will be availabe, but I'm assuming it will be a ways off, considering there are still two expansions scheduled before TotF. Most likely, Tomb of the Forgotten will be released sometime early next year.

Crown of the Heavens Loot Preview

The Patch 4.3 PTR has revealed the names of the loot items that will come out of the Crown of the Heavens WoW TCG expansion.

Considering Throne of Tides is still a week and a half out, it's likely that Crown of the Heavens will not be released until late December or January, 2012.

Throne of the Tides Loot Preview: WoW TCG Loot on the PTR

The new Throne of the Tides loot items appear to be available on the Patch 4.3 PTR, provided you have a promo code. Until I can locate a proper code that will allow me to claim these items from Landro, the only things of note that I discovered were the actual names of the in-game loot.

As a bonus… the loot names for the items coming in the next two expansions were accessible as well. I'll post those later today. Not sure if they'll be redeemable, but I'll try. 🙂

  • Throne of the Tides Loot on the PTRThe Wasteland Tallstrider loot card will be redeemable for a Swift Shorestrider.
  • The Throwing Starfish loot card will be redeemable for none other than a… Throwing Starfish. 😉
  • The Bloat the Bubble Fish loot card will be redeemable for a Purple Puffer.

No actual in-game images or videos of these new loots have been posted yet, but here are the tooltips, which offer some clues as to the appearance of the new loot…

Throwing Starfish Loot Preview: PTR Update

I still haven't seen any actual images of the new Throne of the Tides loot, but WoWHead did include one item tooltip in their latest PTR item database update. The Throwing Starfish has made it in, and appears to have a use effect similar to the Paper Machine Flying Kit – albeit probably a lot more amusing. The item tooltip for ‘Throwing Starfish' shows that they're stackable, which means that the actual loot item is likely some sort of Throwing Starfish generator.

I'll post more information once the Throwing Starfish and the other two Throne of the Tides loots make it onto the PTR.

Upcoming WoW TCG Expansion Loot on the PTR

The Patch 4.3 PTR has revealed the names of the next two WoW TCG expansion sets, along with the loots that will be in them!

Considering we still have over a week until Throne of the Tides is released, it's likely that maybe only one of these new expansions will be out before year's end. Anyway, the next two expansions are entitled, “Crown of Heaven” and “Tomb of the Forgotten”.
